So far! My time here has been amazing. I made a great friend and her name is Gracie, she is as down to earth as I am and it’s great! Also, I’m loving the roomie!
Most people think pageants are all about getting your hair and nails done and being girly but boy are they wrong! Wearing stilettos for 14 plus hours a day is almost a work out and I think I speak for everyone when I say we have the blisters to prove it!
Coming from a small town like mine, I’m glad to be here. It is nothing short of an amazing accomplishment! I am the first person from Perth-Andover to make it to nationals (MTCW) and I am honoured. I am going to give it my all; not only for my self but for my supporters and also for the young girls who want to walk in my shoes some day. Dreams can come true and I proved it.
Work hard and believe in your self and anything is possible.

So, if i could go some wheres; anywheres in the world with my friends by my side i’d be going to Mexico! In March 2011 I went on a cruise that docked in Mexico and I really enjoyed my time there. Having the opportunity to be able to go again for a few days along with my friends would be a remarkable experience! It would be nice to interact with the people there and get an inside view on what the have to offer in their culture and to see what life’s really like there.
I would definitely spend a good amount of my time soaking up the suns rays on there glorious beach (while wearing water proof sunblock of course!). Unforchanly, where I live we don’t have a beach and amazing blue ocean. We have a river with couple feet of sand on shore.
Something else I would love to do in Mexico, especially with me friends is surf. My friends and I are snowboarders though none of us have had the oppurtunity surf and try out the waves. I’m sure it would be difficult but it’s something I’d work hard at learning to do. Lets mind you , I do have a fear of sharks. Though how often does a surfer get chomped up by a shark? Lets hope not often!
To me being on the beach in the sun, having the opportunity to meet new people and learn about another culture while trying out the waves with my friends sounds just about perfect! About like a dream vacation!

If I had to organize a commercial for Signature Towels I would start with some thing funny and some humour. It’s the perfect gift for every-body! Even for our furry pets. I would show how you can receive the towel in a variety of colours and it is custom embroidered.
I would show either how it is perfect for you to take on your dream vacation and great for in the locker rooms! This way everyone has there own towel with there name , also there number could be added on the towel ( phone number or there favorite number, which ever). The towel is a perfect gift for anybody .
In this commercial I would play music in the back ground .. something catchy like “I need your love” By Eile Goulding and Calvin Harris.
Blue and Green , blue and green are the colors that represent Perth-Andover to me. It represents our river banks and our St.John river that sprats Perth from Andover. Like I have perversely said in my first blog assignment, Perth-Andover has a small population just short of 2,000 people. Though certain times of the years that number increases due to special events such as: The NBProBass Tournament.
This year hundreds of people will gather around and watch or participate on October 4th and 5th for the championships!
The Dam Run!
The dam run is a 10K run held in Perth-Andover every summer. People travel here anywheres from Maine to Fredericton to participate in this event.
This event allows people to not only challenge over percipients but, as-well-as them selves; to push them selves to go the distance. Not only that! It allows people to get some fun exercise! Which in some cases can be rare.
It is extremely important to get the proper exercise for your body because the percentage of obesity is sky rocketing due to the lack of exercise and poor food choices; putting them at the rick of health issues such as diabetes.
On July 1st, I attended our Canada Day event that is held every year!
It s an event held to bring together everyone in the community and from else where.
There was tons of games for the kids, popcorn , and cotton candy.
also available was free cake and BBQ . I thought everyone seemed to enjoy them selves and it was a great turn out!One of my best friends Leah Robinson Miss Perth-Andover participated in the dunk tank, I believe it was the kids favourite game because they got to submerge the Queen in a huge tub of water!
Each winner of a game won a small prize. To me, interacting with the younger generation and being a positive role model for them is a prize all on its own.
Thanks to Niagara Falls for sponsoring Miss Teen Canada World 2013.

I live in a little place called Perth-Andover with a population of approximately 2000 people. Unfortunately, we are not blessed with a multiple green buildings (also known as eco-friendly). Though our town office has recently in stalled an air-to-air heating pump . What is that you may ask? An air-to-air heating pump allows you to have warmth in the winter and cool air on those hot summer days! So , on the bright side; the town office is no longer using oil. The air-to air system also allows you to cut your spendings for heat in half!
What does our town offer to promote going green?
My little town has two massive recycle bins held in two different locations. So you are able to use the one most convent for you!
The each are divided in to four different sections, cardboard, tin/steel,plastics, and paper.
I would defiantly like to call me self a tree hugger and you can be one too! My family and I started doing major recycling about five years ago.. it got me thinking the other day. If we recycle one, thirty-three gallon bag of stuff a week that equals 52 bags a year; giving me a total of two and sixty bags the past five years! Two hundred and sixty bags of stuff that was recycled and not just buried in some land fill with the rest of everyone else’s garbage. I was amazed.
Whether its investing in solar panels, leaving your car at home and taking the bus instead , or recycling ! It all makes a difference!
At the rate we are going at in this decade it’s only causing the hole in our ozone layer to get bigger, allowing the suns UV rays in and upping the rate of skin cancer!
So I ask everyone, wear sunblock , leave the car at home, and start recycling .
The change starts here!
